About Us

I’m Josh, and my career has been focused on creating flooring solutions tailored for Kiwis. With a Master’s in the Commercialisation of Science and Technology from the University of Auckland, I’ve always been passionate about using innovation to solve real-world problems. Our flagship product, Duracore®, is designed to handle everything from muddy gumboots to coffee spills—and still look fantastic.

Over the past decade, we’ve introduced world-leading flooring technology to New Zealand, making it affordable and suited to our unique environment. Kiwi floors need to endure kids, pets, spills, and the summer sun while remaining stylish and comfortable. That’s exactly what we deliver.

Our latest range, Duracore Silent®, won NZ Hybrid Floor of the Year 2024. Perfect for multi-level homes and single level dwellings, it reduces noise transfer while maintaining all the benefits of the original Duracore® range. As I like to say, “We create flooring solutions that enhance Kiwi living and solve Kiwi problems —durable, stylish and comfortable.”

When I’m not meeting clients or hunting for exceptional solutions for NZ projects, I keep busy coaching kids sports, ticking off NZ great walks with the family and the odd multi-sport event with mates.

Nic, is the heart of our client relationships. With a strong background in the flooring and property sectors, she ensures our products meet the specific needs of New Zealand homes. Nic collaborates closely with architects, builders, and designers to make sure our floors are not only beautiful but perform exceptionally in New Zealand’s demanding conditions.

Duracore Silent helps multi-story homes meet stringent acoustic standards, making it the go-to choice for architects and acoustic engineers.

Nic’s hands-on approach and practical advice make her an invaluable resource for our clients, specifiers and designers. With her upbringing in a builder’s family and a stellar track record of selling over $300 million in property, she brings unmatched expertise to the New Zealand flooring industry.
